I used to put my basil in the fridge and before I knew it, it had turned into a brown-black sad wilted mess. Leaving me with that terrible dilemma of salvageability – will my frugal English ancestors frown upon me from the beyond if I throw this away?
Well, amazing husband of mine decided to do a wonderful 21st century thing and google how to make it last longer and ta-da! The most obvious solution ever; place it in some water! Not only do you have fresh basil for way longer but you also have a wonderful table piece!
