We went to Urban Pl8 because we had 4 people recommend the nut burger to us. Urban Pl8 is situated within Krog Street market – we made the terrible mistake of deciding do our visit on a Saturday – and anybody from Atlanta knows to avoid pcm or ksm like the plague on the weekends unless you want to be constantly reminded that this ain’t yo’ town no more. For some reason (probably because $15 paleo isn’t as in as a $4 korean bun concept) Urban PL8 had no line and was actually pretty dead despite the hustle and bustle and long lines lines around us – that was nice.
Urban Pl8 is a paleo concept which made me not want to like them because in my mind paleo people are meaty lovers. But it was good. The nut burger was distinctively seasoned and with pico de gallo and a sour cream toppings the whole thing comes together like a taco burger….which is not a bad thing. Good consistency, well seasoned, just a bit overpriced (it was like $14 with tip – am I cheap? Don’t answer that.). Overall – 8. We will need to come back to try their ‘Lily’s Veggie burger” for a full on fair review.
