This is a mum recipe if there ever was one. Preferred context – on top of a baked potato + a blob of cottage cheese. It is pretty healthy and so I tend to have it when I am feeling fat and unhealthy but like I don’t want to sacrifice a hearty meal and just eat a celery stick. Makes for a great lunch too – here’s an attempted transcription of mums recipe ( 1 glug = ~ 1 teaspoon?

Legit Coney Island Knishes in Atlanta?
Yes, these delicious babes are served right here in Atlanta – right off of North Druid Hills at this place you have probably heard of or been to many times before called Bagel Palace. Tucked down in the midst of their million item menu is the ‘Coney Island Knish (fried)’.
Bagel Palace was one of my favorite restaurants once upon a time and was my go-to birthday restaurant choice (I was always Bagel Palace in the BP vs Goldberg’s debate) –

Half of this recipe is a cop out as I just bought pre-made butternut squash ravioli this time. A ravioli recipe will come soon though – after making fresh ravioli I had told myself I would never go back because it’s just SO good…not even in the same echelon as pre-made…BUT sometimes you get lazy and if your local farmers market offers their own fresh ravioli y’know…
The other half though is a big rant about the importance of a roux>bechamel which is the foundation of what these bad boys (raviolis) will be rolling in…

Often as a veg I find myself struggling to complete a meal. It seems to lack a final component that really makes it feel like a full meal. This makes ‘sides’ an important thing for us. ‘Sides’ to vegetarians are just food…just the section in a cookbook we can most often utilize, a couple of sides is our complete meal. So here is one of my favorite 5 minute sides that we enjoy all the time,

Today I bring a quintessentially English recipe and guest post from my mother! Cauliflower cheese makes for a delicious dinner feature, I would also suggest this as a healthier alternative to macaroni & cheese – still packed full of cream and cheese for those good fats but this way you get your veg too! Please imagine the following in a shrill english accent ( ha, sorry mum):

At the Farmers Market recently I bought a huge cauliflower.

A recipe post coming a bit late for Thanksgiving but just in time for any holiday parties – whenever these sausage rolls are around they get demolished so I would suggest getting a bit extra of the puff and stretching the sausage mixture so you can make even more. My personal fave is to dip them in a bit of extra spicy mustard. Enjoy!

ATL Veggie Burger Judgement Dayyyyy: Yeah! Burger
You may have noticed there hasn’t been a veggie burger post in a while. This is because I went and had my first annual physical in the last 10 years of my life recently – luckily all results were a-ok – unluckily they weighed me and I found out I weigh 10 pounds more than I thought I did. I’m not one for scales and numbers but oof! I’m now officially lying on my license and I didn’t even know it!

Sometimes you have a hard day at work, or maybe it’s a little cold outside and you want something festive to warm you, or maybe you just found out you have a misogynist for a president – whatever the case is, it’s time to fix a drink! Tonight, I played mixologist and I encourage you to do this same! How, you ask? Why simply scrounge around in your pantry for anything that will go with that old booze you have had lying around for the past year.

If I could do a byline to this article (which I am too technically impaired to do) it would say “now this is something for the bored vegetarians in Atl (thats not too pricey either!)”.
Eat Me Speak Me is a weekend pop up restaurant in Candler Park, open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7-11. We first came on Friday at 8, there was a line and the wait was supposedly ~1hr –

This is another Nick pasta meal. I figured we should do a post about it because I keep seeing cacio e pepe feature on restaurant menus for ~$17 and that is just silliness. Nick is going to tell you here how you can make it in under 15 mins for as much as it costs you to buy some spaghetti and peppercorns!
